We were charged with selecting winners among the most promising young musicians across Europe and enjoyed debating and getting to know each other over a couple of days of hard work together. As Nicholas Roerich wrote, “Where there is Peace, there is Culture; Where there is Culture, there is Peace.” On Saturday, June 22nd at 8pm at The DiMenna Center – Benzaquen Hall, Composers Concordance and Project 142 will co-present a concert exploring different aspects of Russian culture, including its impassioned and perseverant Music, Literary, and Dance traditions. Featuring compositions by Mark Belodubrovsky, Dan Cooper, Joseph Pehrson, Gene Pritsker, Sebastian Pritsker, Anton Rovner, Sergei Rachmaninoff, David Rozenblatt, and Igor Stravinsky. The program will be performed by Dan Auerbach – violin, Gene Pritsker – guitar, David Rozenblatt – percussion, Sammy Weissberg – bass, Anya Migdal, Julia Amisano, Yelena Dudochkin – voice, Taka Kigawa – piano, Franklin Chen – break d ancer, and Alice Lebedev-Migdal – dance, among others.
